Social networking for client interaction,marketing and networking opportunities definitely has possibilities in my library.Yammer has already been introduced and is being embraced by many staff members.The concepts of Listening,talking energising,supporting and embracing put forward by Josh Bernoff at Forrester sound great.I also really liked searching through the Communities of practice for local government website-great stuff.

Google Docs changes how we can use computers in libraries.Could be the end of the USB.

Mashups are great fun,and have endless applications for libraries - for example,posters, bookmarks,displays.

I can see many uses for podcasts in the library environment.They could be used to conduct oral interviews,particularly for local history purposes,book reviews,author talks,poetry readings and much more.

It's great to be a part of the online brains trust.I think that promoting library services through Answer boards is a fantastic idea and keeps us in the public eye.
